A minimum of 24 hours notice is necessary for the cancellation of a private lesson. In the event of an emergency or illness, documentation will need to be provided as evidence in order to avoid any charges. Failure to provide the necessary notice will result in the obligation to pay the entire fee for the private lesson.

D Space studio does not offer makeup classes for missed group sessions, regardless of the reason for the absence. It is the responsibility of the participants to attend the scheduled classes as per their enrollment.

D Space Academy values the importance of consistent attendance and continuous learning for the progress of participants. By adhering to the policy of no makeup classes, we encourage commitment and dedication among our students.

Students are encouraged to attend classes regularly as per their selected membership. Missed classes cannot be carried over to the next month or exchanged for other services. By adhering to these membership policies, we aim to provide a structured and engaging dance experience for all members. Your commitment and dedication contribute to a vibrant dance community and individual growth.

If you hold an active membership with us, you can enjoy complimentary self-practice sessions, and additionally, access exclusive master classes at a discounted rate.
Please note that without an active membership, attendance in classes will not be possible, and any participation will be subject to the drop-in rate.

Drop-In Class Guidelines:
For those who prefer a more flexible dance experience, we offer drop-in classes. This option allows you to attend individual classes without committing to a membership. Whether you're visiting our studio for the first time, seeking a trial, or simply looking for occasional training, our drop-in classes provide an excellent opportunity to engage in our dance programs.

Drop-in classes are subject to availability and can be attended by individuals who do not hold an active membership. By offering drop-in classes, we aim to accommodate various schedules and preferences, allowing individuals to engage in dance training based on their availability.
The cost for each regular drop-in class is $20 per person.
The cost of each exhibit class (competition stimulation) is $30 per person.

For individuals who are not subscribed to a membership but still wish to utilize our studio space for self-practice, we offer a self-practice option at a rate of $10 per couple or solo per hour. This provides an opportunity for dancers to refine their skills, practice routines, and enhance their techniques in our dedicated studio environment. We believe that self-practice can complement your dance journey by providing additional practice time in a dedicated space.

By offering this option, we aim to support dancers in their pursuit of excellence and growth within the realm of dance. Participants attending drop-in classes are expected to adhere to the class schedule and arrive on time for the chosen session. While drop-in classes offer flexibility, they do not provide the same consistent progression and benefits as regular memberships. For a more comprehensive dance journey, we encourage considering our membership options.

Semi-Private and Private Sessions

We offer semi-private sessions accommodating a maximum of four participants, exclusively available for individuals under 18 years of age, while our standard private lessons not only remain accessible but are also encouraged. We are committed to fostering an environment that welcomes participants of all ages. Although our studio primarily serves children, we remain open to and actively encourage the growth and enjoyment of adults in our programs. This policy aims to ensure a structured and equitable experience for all participants.

Seamless Substitution and Uninterrupted Learning

At D Space Academy, we recognize the occasional need for flexibility in our teaching team. As such, we maintain a substitute teacher policy to ensure the seamless continuity of our dance classes. While our regular instructors provide consistent and dedicated guidance, there may be instances when they are unable to teach due to unforeseen circumstances. In such instances, we maintain a roster of skilled substitute teachers who step in to maintain the high standards of instruction and personalized attention that our students deserve.
Our commitment to delivering exceptional dance education remains unwavering, even in the absence of our regular instructors. Therefore, it is our priority to find the best available substitute teacher to accommodate the class without any interruptions. Our studio management diligently assesses the expertise, teaching style, and compatibility of substitute teachers with the class content and level. This careful consideration ensures that the substitute seamlessly integrates with the class dynamics, upholding the studio's reputation for excellence.
Through this policy, we not only guarantee the continuity of classes but also emphasize the importance of consistent and enriching learning experiences. By maintaining a pool of skilled substitute teachers and adhering to a meticulous selection process, we assure our students, parents, and regular instructors that the spirit of learning and artistic growth continues unabated at our studio, fostering an environment of trust, progress, and artistic expression.

Dress Code

All students must adhere to the dress code outlined by the studio. This includes proper dance attire and footwear. Any student who does not meet the dress code requirements will not be permitted to participate in class. The dress code for kids ballroom class usually includes comfortable and flexible clothing that allows for ease of movement. For girls, a dress or skirt with leggings or dance shorts are appropriate, along with ballroom dance shoes. Boys may wear dress pants with a comfortable shirt and black ballroom dance shoes. It's important that the clothing is not too loose or baggy, as this can make it difficult to see proper alignment and movement during class.

To ensure a distraction-free and safe dance environment, it is recommended that hair be styled in a bun or a folded braid, and secured tightly with multiple hair ties and hair clips. Gel or hairspray can also be used to help keep the hair in place during dance class. It's important to keep hair away from the face so that dancers can maintain proper alignment and movement. To avoid distractions, it's best to keep hair accessories simple, avoiding bows, headbands, or anything that may stick out during class.

Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for practices. It makes a difference in their attitude and behavior during the class.

Attendance and Tardiness

Attendance is critical to the progress of the student and the success of the class. Students are expected to arrive on time and attend each scheduled class. In the event of absence for the group classes, please notify the studio as soon as possible. To ensure that your student is prepared for their class, please make sure they arrive 5-10 minutes before their scheduled class time. Arriving late can disrupt the flow of the class and hinder your student's progress, so we encourage all students to arrive on time. If you do arrive late, please join in right away. However, if you are more than 15 minutes late, your student will have missed a significant amount of the warm-up and you will not be allowed to join the class. Please be sure to pick up your student on time and inform us if you know you will be late. For the safety of our young students, we ask that you drive slowly and carefully in the parking lot and escort your child from the building to your car. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring a safe and productive learning environment for all of our students.

Behavior and Conduct

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner at all times while in the studio. Any disruptive or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from class or termination of enrollment.

Health and Safety

The health and safety of our students are of utmost importance. Parents and guardians of students under 18 years old are expected to inform the studio of any injuries or health concerns prior to class. The studio reserves the right to remove any student from any class due to health or safety concerns.

Parent and Guardian Involvement

We kindly request parents and guardians refrain from entering practice sessions unless specifically invited to do so by the coach or staff. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated. Parents of children under 4 years and 9 months old must stay in the waiting area for the duration of their child(ren)'s class.

Photography and Videography

Photography and videography are not allowed during class or in the dressing rooms without prior consent from the studio. The studio reserves the right to take photographs and videos of students for promotional purposes. In order to ensure the safety and security of all participants, video cameras are installed and actively monitored in our dance studio premises. However, we respect individual preferences, and if you or your child prefer not to be included in promotional materials, you have the option to opt out of such photography and videography. Your comfort and consent are of utmost importance to us, and we are committed to respecting your choices regarding image capture and use.
